Patient Information

Please be advised that availability is limited and will be by pre-booked appointment and urgent on the day only. Access may not always be provided at this surgery and you may need to travel to an alternative practice.  If no appointment is available you may be directed to alternative services such as NHS 111.

These appointments will not be available to book online - therefore please speak to a member of our reception staff for further advice.

Please note there is now a new dedicated script line phone number for all requests and medication queries for all of our surgeries. The number is: 01772 237615 from Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

Covid - 19 Information

Due to the current issues of Coronavirus we are currently not offering face to face appointments unless asked directly by a Doctor/Clinician. This is to limit the spread of the virus and to keep GP's, clinicians, staff and patients safe. We will also not be offering any pre-bookable appointments or online bookings. Patients are able to call at 8am to book a telephone consultation and a face to face appointment will be arranged where necessary.

We are requesting that any patients who attend the surgery MUST wear a face mask or face covering. This is to ensure the safety of all patients and staff throughout the surgery during this time.

To ensure the safety of patients and staff our practice policy has changed: We are now asking all patients to arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment time so that we can adhere to social distancing throughout the practice. If patient's arrive earlier than this then they will be asked to wait outside. We hope you understand that this is to protect everyone entering the building. Thank you in advance for your continuing support and co-operation.

For the time being we are not offering our extended service until 8pm or Saturday clinics. Therefore, the building will close each weekday at 6pm and the phone lines will close at 6:30pm. We will now be closed on Saturdays.

Preston has had a recent spike in Coronavirus cases & we need your help to avoid a full outbreak. Please avoid visitors in your home, wear face coverings in enclosed public spaces and ensure you get tested if you have symptoms. Government guidance has now changed regarding self-isolation. If you display symptoms of Covid-19, or test positive for the virus, you will now need to isolate for 10 days and members of your household will still need to isolate for 14 days.

*Important information* - From Monday 14th September, the community testing site for coronavirus at Issa Medical Centre will move to a Preston City Council owned site adjacent to Moor Park. Open 7 days a week 10am - 3pm. The testing site at Preston Market remains open as usual.
